Confident Choreography

Shaving

An important one! Wearing a small bikini, posing with arms in the air and depending on federation, a routine to music. Ensuring everywhere is hair free is a must!


I have previously made the error of heading to my beauty therapist 4 days before a show (just before I started tanning) for a full wax. Yes I was lovely and smooth, however, my tan didn't absorb so well into the areas where the wax was applied! So as tanning progressed, rectangular marks were visible where the wax had been. Therefore, if you do prefer to wax......do it at least the week before!

I now prefer to shave for a show. Usually as above, 4 days out. Ensure you cover full leg, bikini, underarm and forearms. Some people do leave their forearms however I feel it looks much nicer under the light.
