Tanning Hints and Tips

Removing

The bane of my life! I've tried many ways during the three seasons of competing and I have come to the conclusion......it's time consuming no matter what you use. If you only use Jan Tana or Pro-Tan competition colour then they easily shower off and leave you with a holiday type tan.

Clothing

It may seem obvious but wear something loose! Tan is always going to rub off on your clothing, however the less the better. Try to avoid heavy elasticated waistbands, tight ribbing at the waist or cuffs.

An important one! Wearing a small bikini, posing with arms in the air and depending on federation, a routine to music. Ensuring everywhere is hair free is a must!

Prep for Tanning

Tanning is just as important as posing!  So many times you see streaky, patchy tans, areas of green or someone who isn't dark enough, all of which hinders your appearance.  Hopefully this will help give you a good basis to work from when starting out with your comp tanning.
